IONISOS is a French Company by actions simplified with capital of 6.782.848 €
and employs 80 staff at 5 production plants.
IONISOS came into being in 1993 following a merger between CONSERVATOME and AMPHYTRION ;
in 1997, IONISOS and CARIC came together to pool two complementary technologies in the field of ionising radiation:
"accelerated electrons" and "gamma rays"

What IONISOS does :


IONISOS is a service provider for ionising radiation treatment, with the following main applications :

Sterilising, Preserving,

Decontaminating, Crosslinking 

 

Irradiation is performed through the sealed packaging without raising the temperature or using chemical additives. The process has been known for 50 years and its industrial development dates back twenty years. Gamma photons and accelerated electrons are used to kill bacteria, yeasts, moulds, fungi and viruses, and ensure sterilisation of the processed product.
